Others take control.

Which would you like to be?

Motivating Myself

Being Assertive

Handling Conflict

Managing my Stress

Managing my Time

Learning Objective:
To encourage & enable participants to 'take stock' of their current situation in life - whether home or work - to challenge what is now for what can be, to use time more effectively, understand what motivates and how to create motivational effect, manage personal stress better, stand up for who they are and what they want, and deal with any conflict that might come their way as a result of these changes.

Target Audience:
Anyone who needs to take more control over their lives and experiences, and who want to be proactive rather than reactive

Time Management:
Unless you're into reincarnation, you only get one shot at life. As you read these words, the time you've taken to read them cannot be re-lived. When you're 65, what will you wish you had done TODAY? We help you work out your purpose - your real 'reason to be', and show you how to prioritise tasks and activities. We'll conduct a time analysis with you that should cause you to completely re-think how you spend your day. We'll talk about the number one time waster - Procrastination - and others.

Motivation:
Where is your life going, viewed from today? If you change nothing, you'll probably wind up where you're headed right now. Are you happy with that? Why do we bother getting out of bed? A quick look at the motivators that apply to most of us in different intensities. Personal Audits (achievements, attributes, experience and qualifications). Goal-setting. Personal Mentors. Affirmations and the power of self-talk.

Stress Management:
A slow, insidious killer in its worst state, at the very least it harms your productivity. Positive stress is necessary to achieve your goals. Negative stress holds you back, distracts you, and causes both mental and physical damage. We'll help you recognise the difference, spot the symptoms and provide two stress-reduction activities to help manage the stress you can't avoid.

Assertiveness:
Being assertive doesn't mean being bloody-minded and inflexible. It means knowing your personal rights, being able to state what you want clearly and specifically, and enlist the support of others to help you get it.

Conflict:
Being assertive often brings you into conflict with others. We discuss DESC scripting, separating emotion & personality  from behaviours, and 5 conflict positions are demonstrated and understood.

Length: Two full days.

Format: Workgroup interactive
Optimum number Participants/facilitator: 18
